Gail is a licensed clinical social worker with 17 years experience working with children with developmental trauma disorders. She works with adopted children who spent numerous years in orphanages and foster care, teens and women.
She is trained in and uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including: Psychotherapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Hypnotherapy.
Gail works with families struggling with behavioral concerns associated with disorders such as: Reactive Attachment, Attention Deficit and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity , Oppositional Defiance , Fetal Alcohol Effect and Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Fifteen years ago, Gail transracially adopted three older children as a single parent. She later married and had a birth child as well. Although their journey has not always been an easy one; today Gail's children are a blessing in her life.
In addition to earning a certificate in Therapy with Adoptive Families, Gail holds undergraduate degrees in Law & Justice and Psychology. She holds a masters degree in Social Work.
She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Joint Council on International Children's Services, a board member of Chosen International, and a registered clinician recommended by Attach.org.
